A Little Chilly This Morning

It's a little chilly in my part of Penn's Woods. And it's supposed to be colder tonight.

I did our Santa run yesterday. My Bunker gear kept me warm (l dressed up as Santa's "elf")

On the positive side, we are going to have a white Christmas. There's about 4" on the ground. And we will get a little more Tuesday morning.

About 2-3" here in Central NJ, temperatures in the 20s. We are in a drought so all precipitation is welcome. The New Year's Eve fireworks in NYC and Morristown cancelled due to the dryness.

Can't Complain

when I read what y'all deal with.
Yesterday was the first time since 2012 the high temp wasn't 75 or above on the winter solstice. That's as far as I went scrolling thru the years.
High of 69, low this AM all the way down to 54 !!!

It's a Blistering 27 degrees here on the banks of the middle Missouri River... unusually warm this time of year.. that is the normal high temp, not how we start the day.

It was -5 early this morning here at my farm in Sullivan County in North Central PA. We usually don't get below zero temps until January around here. IIRC we had no below zero temps last year.
