I am asking for a little help here on this Oldie. My BIL asked me to find out what I could for Him. It has been handed down through his Family for years and years. It is a 32 "short" from my research here. The serial on the frame and cylinder is 1462XX. The cartridge is marked U.S.C.CO. I have read to not shoot the modern ammo available if this firearm was made before WWI. Can anyone tell me D.O.B.
Thanks
Jack

.32 Safety Hammerless, Second Model, made sometime 1902-1909.
Looks in very good used condition.
I would not be afraid to shoot it, .32 S&W (NOT "Short") is not loaded any hotter than it ever was.

Thank You fellows. I will pass on the info. I dont know if He will shoot it or not.
