I was finally able to scratch an itch that I've had for quite some time. A 4" nickel 19-2 or lower (I love the blued sights on a nickel gun!) has been on my short list for a while, but every time a "right" one came along the timing was bad and I had my sights set on something else.
I'm addicted to N-frames from the 30's to the 50's and they eat up any gun funds that I accumulate. When this one became available, I couldn't let it go bye. It's the nicest nickel 19 that I've seen for sale, AND it's complete with the original pristine condition box, docs, and unopened tools.
An added bonus is that it shipped 4 months after I did in November 1963, making it a birth year gun for me. I may letter it just to see if it happened to ship November 22, 1963, the day JFK was assassinated.
I've had the gun a few days now and I've taken it out of my safe a bunch of times just to look at and fondle. To say that I'm thrilled to have it would be an understatement.
Now I can get back to those old N-frames!
