It has take me almost exactly 10 years to assemble this quartet with the aid of 3 forum members. All four sizes of fixed sight 1908 44 Military hand ejectors along with the relevant pages of the 1907-08 "Revolver" catalog introducing this model and the new cartridge designed for it. The final HE acquisition wa the 7.5" variation of which only an estimated 5-10 of the fixed sight verersion were ever made. The latest addition was the catalog which turned up at the recent SWCA symposium. The catalog only lists the 6.5" as being offered. Even more interesting to me was the fact that the ballistics for the new 44 S&W Special cartridge is given in black powder charge and inches of pine penetration.

Very nice collection, quinn! I really like the sambar stag stocks, too. I've been shopping around for a 6-1/2" blued TL for some time...but no luck so far. Hopefully I'll run across one sometime in the near future. Enjoy!

Randy, very nice. All four barrel lengths on guns 100 years old plus.
Love the brochure. Those black powder loads were hot.
The 1941 S&W catalog shows .44 Special penetration of five and a half 7/8-inch pine boards.

So, here is the fine print. As these are all working guns, they are shown with their leather.

7.5", blue, SN 41xx, fixed sight; Picked up at the factory (Cash COD) on Nov. 30th, 1910, by C.V. Davis (possibly a Mass. Land Court judge by the same name). The grips are early non medallion TL grips that were shaved with an added veneer of jigged bone. Holster is a ca 1920 Red Head brand. Showen with a contemporary loading too..

4 Inch: as any legitimate firearm assembly in Texas is required to have

Cool group of Triple Locks!

Since the nickel gun has what looks like a nickel plated hammer and trigger, although it was factory re-nickel plated in '45, it's been re-nickel plated again outside the factory since then.

Almost certainly. Also, the hammer was bobbed then plated. It is often hard to guess the sequence of evnts these guns go through.
