Hey everybody.
I purchased my M&P15-22 in February. I have the A1 version with the blue springs on the bolt. I've taken it to the range a few times with only slight issues usually me not taking the time to load the magazine correctly but I wanted to ask about my last range visit.
I shot about 200 rounds total and about 1/2 way through I loaded a short 10 round mag and one of the shots produced a lot of smoke out of the chamber. Much more than normal. It was an indoor range, I had my glasses on and a brass catcher attached to the rail. I didn't notice a difference in noise with the shot but just the general amount of smoke made me unload, check the mag, check the gun and make sure my extractor was still there. Everything looked good but I didn't check the casing, I couldn't find any problems. Was it an OOB or something else? I had lubed the bolt carrier before I stated shooting with Mpro 7 CLP but I had put a good amount of rounds through before this happened.
Any thoughts? Thanks.
