So...let's say you're not happy with the FBI because of a high-profile case you did not agree on. Would you:

A. Blow it off - have a beer.

B. Go to a Starbucks and pick an argument with a nervous-looking young professional.

C. Call the FBI Supervisory Special Agent nearest the case on his FBI cellphone, leave voicemail (not disguising your voice, which is easily compared with your Instagram postings) threatening to kill him, then to kill his family, and follow up with similar texts, all from your very own, registered to you cellphone at your number.

If you picked 'C,' you would be Timothy Muller of Fort Worth, Texas. He should be easy to find for the next 30 years. Here's the criminal complaint: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.txnd.391024/gov.uscourts.txnd.391024.1.0.pdf

As with many threads, I probably should 'just let this one pass' and note it as 'just another regular observation' but . . . perspective comes at odd times for odd reasons (timing, alcohol, mood, "reaching the end of your personal tolerance") so those reading the reply are left to wonder about your sanity, personality, or "WTH is he talking about ? ".

But the OP's premise shines a light (for me) on a much larger perspective of the place of the state of the current society's mentality in the 'age of digital communication' and self importance. The gentleman (?) in Biku's example has the right to remain silent in his frustrations, but given the easy access to showing off his opinion to the world via the internet and digital communication, he doesn't seem to possess the ability.

I mean, if you actually had to run down someone's phone number or physically seek them out, you'd be sobered up enough after expending the effort to realize it was not a great idea to begin with. But hey, we're all important and deserving of anointing the world with our personal views these days, right ?
I'm tired of living in this permutation of societal influence. Sound and fury, signifying nothing. We've lost a sense of true perspective in a world where everyone's opinion can be elevated to a stature of relevance in a fragment of the time it takes for common sense to put the brakes on it.

But my ability and reality of providing this observation publicly at this time of the morning showcases the absurdity of my viewpoint - right ?

I was looking for a fugitive and his brother crossed the lines of propriety and got thumped up. I left my business card and the fugitive's incarcerated dad called my office from a recorded line at the pokey and left a recorded message at the FBI office promising to kill me when he got out. I went to the jail and interviewed him, where he admitted to making the call and apologized.

I was going to let it go but by then supervisors were involved and he got the full ride scholarship to the Bureau of Prisons.

I've never been LEO, but I've been a customer a few times...just little crimes, sorta, that amounted to nothing but a fine here & there. But, one needs to keep his stupid mouth shut, especially when in custody of a couple guys with guns that know how to use billy clubs. And calling said men & ladies sir, not *&^%$^&&%^&&& helps a lot when you're handcuffed. Lawyers and ARD are my friends. I'm much better now!
