I got some great news last week. I wrote an article about a 1934 Sanford Cub fire truck from our local Fire Department. It was their original fire engine when it was new and last year it was returned to them after all those years. My son also got into the article when he got to pose for a picture in the front seat. This will be the first ever issue and from what I was told it will be out later this year. I was able to get a couple advanced copies. I kept one and the other I gave to the fire department. It's from the same publishers as Vintage Truck Magazine.

That's a great looking old Sanford! Back in the 90's I owned a 50 Seagrave.
Looks like the start of a great magazine. I'll have to look for it at the book store! ;)

I love the old trucks.....I used to own a 1968 Crown Open Cab TeleSquirt, it was a hoot to drive in parades.

In college, my fraternity had a 1930 American LaFrance. On Friday afternoons we'd load it up with a keg of beer and every pressurized water extinguisher we could find. As we cruised the campus, our friends were toasted with a glass of beer, and our enemies were extinguished, whether the flames were visible or not.

You know, you just can't be too careful when it comes to fire!;)
