A while back I purchased a 60-7 LS in excellent condition. A few months later another 60-7 showed up on my local forum, and I thought "Hmm. If I have two, I will have one for each of my daughters when they are of age." But I was outbid.
However, me being outbid turned out to be good fortune. Yet another LS came up, this one a 36-7. I paid a bit more than I probably should have (five bills, but it came with a few minor extras). But I did not want to be outbid again. Even though I paid a bit much, I made the right choice. Turns out one daughter likes the blued 36, and the other likes the stainless. Even better - the serial numbers begin with BPF and BPS, which means they may only be a month or two apart. Here's a couple of pics (the blemish above the latch on the 36 is a smudge of oil, not wear in the blueing):
They both have an interest in shooting (BB guns for now), and the oldest can't wait until she is old enough to go to the range. I plan on storing these away and giving one to each daughter when they are older. Something they can remember their old dad by after my time time has passed. What do y'all think?
