Three days ago Logan took Ruthie to the ER. She lifted something far too heavy for her and a searing pain shot down her hip. A CT scan revealed that she had dislodged a large kidney stone. She is in agony.

They gave her pain meds and Phenergan and sent her home to pass it. Because of her twisted horseshoe kidney ultrasound therapy is out of the question.

If it doesn't pass soon they will have to insert a stent which is almost as agonizing as the stone.

I feel absolutely helpless.

God, I know that pain. Three times now. My right one is horseshoe. It’s been had all three. Women used to say “try having a baby”. I wasn’t made for babies. Women I know who have had babies say the stone is worse. God help her.
Can’t catch a break lately, have you? I’m not good at praying, but for this I’ll do my best. Please, good luck to her with that pain. The last one I had they had me high as heck and it still hurt…a lot.
The stents really help but they only put them in when I was under. I’m sorry she has to go through this ****!

Prayers for Ruthie:

Lord God, we ask, we pray, that Ruthie's pain, her medical difficulties, be alleviated swiftly, so that not only can she resume her normal life, quickly and completely, but also so that she can recover sufficiently to take care of our friend Rusty, who is in grave physical difficulty, and needs your help.

I can certainly appreciate what Ruthie is going thru, I've been fighting stones since 2006. I've been through Lithotripsy 4 times. 2019 after last Lithotripsy, wound up calling 911 for a ride to ER then into surgery for retrieval and stents inserted for 7-10 days. While removing the stents, they cleaned out all the stones they could find with a laser and I've been fine ever since.
My Urologist/Surgeon told me that women admit that Kidney Stones are far worse than child birth. So much so, that many women are willing to go through child birth again but NONE want to deal with a kidney stone again.
I'll sure add both of you to the prayer list tonight.
