A pretty model 57

I don't buy a lot of post 1957 N frames. But, when I do, it is nice if they look like this. The 41 Magnum is my favorite revolver cartridge.

I do not, I bought it at auction just as you see it.

Very nice, sure wish more of the folks who can do this kind of work would leave us some hints as to who they were/are. Have you checked under the grips and under the thumb piece? Sometimes they hide their initials there and sometimes work them in to the engraving design. Here's another Model 57, 8 3/8 and factory Class A engraved. This one shipped in August 1979 to J.W. Murchison Co. Wilmington, NC but we don't know who engraved this one either.

I also have an 8" model 57 factory engraved. If you are not going to shoot them, they might as well be nice to look at.

That sure is purty! I've always liked the 4" Model 57s and back in the late 1970s it was the first revolver that I ever purchased. I'm not a big fan of engraved revolvers, but yours has me reevaluating! Congratulations, and enjoy!

That’s a stunner! Very nice find! Here’s my mountain gun in .41 mag. Along side a 1960 model 19 no dash combat mag. I just put the new grips on the .41 ( Hogue)
