Never used it for baking but I mix a big teaspoon of it into a vanilla or chocolate protein shake - if you're just trying to find a way to use it up.

Yes, I have used it in baking sweets like cookies, cheesecakes, tiramisu (yum) etc. If there are kids eating it though make sure you do not add that much and parents are aware. I have seen some Mole recipes that call for coffee because it pairs so well with chocolate. I can't think of what else offhand but I know I have added a touch to other recipes. What were you thinking of adding it to?

I guess I am not "that much" of a cook or baker.......never tried to make the brownies/ cheese cake or Terimesou...etc. I do "regular pies and cakes"..mainly German and swiss as that is my Mother's side/ background and she taught me to cook/ bake. I can see how brewed coffee could help with the chili and spaghetti sauce....I was actually told to drink coffee to "fight" the burn of hot peppers in foods.....

Coffee is an excellent ingredient in many chocolate based sweets. It also works very well in BBQ meat rubs and a dash in chili tastes great. But, Why use instant coffee when ground or even fresh ground coffee is a far superior choice? !

Coffee makes a great base for a marinade, especially for chicken. Fresh brewed obviously is better, but instant works too. Earl Grey tea is also a favorite of ours.

We have a recipe for Black Bread that uses coffee.
A friend gave it to us when we were all in college during the dinosaur era.
Haven't made it in a while but thought about doing so not long ago.

A local coffee roaster sells a coffee rub for use on roasts, chops, chicken
etc. I don't think he uses instant coffee to make it though.
