A sad day. New Update post #81

Please allow me to share this with you.

Today was the memorial service and even though there was sadness at first, it turned into a joyous celebration that she would have loved.

My little buddy did fine:

They had my transport ready:

This is my new friend Ernie. He is Ray's newly acquired step-grandpa. Turned out that his last three months at DaNang were my first. We never met but worked the same flight line and were escorted from the same bars.

Oh, our new glasses. Ain't we "fresh"?

Help the kids

Rusty, man up, stay focused and help the kids grow up. They need someone experienced to guide them and sometimes it don't take much to make a differience

Dammit. Much too young.
Prayer for Rick to come to grips and more up for the kids.
You and Ruth remain in our hearts and prayers.

Is Ian the young man on the couch with the two dogs
on his lap in the picture you've posted?

Words don't begin....

Yep...that's him. Good memory (avoiding "brisket" will do that)
