:D:D:D I'm still laughing...

I called my brother just now and asked how he was doing. "I'm fixin to drink this stuff...I'm sure not looking forward to it."

"What stuff?" I asked.

"This colonscocomy stuff" he replied.

Me: "YOU'RE COLONOSCOPY ISN'T FOR THREE MORE WEEKS!!!"

Upon further inquiry, I found out he's been eating nothing but chicken noodle soup for the last two days in preparation.

My brother, who has had two strokes and is now in liver failure lives with my mother who has dementia. Confusion is a symptom of liver failure. The dynamics are incredibly exhausting and occasionally comical (it's either laugh or pull my hair out)!

Now I have to contact the doctor and get the prescription refilled...HELP! ;)

444, you just have to laugh because your other choice is to cry all the time.

My Mom suffered from Ahlzeimer's and eventally passed away as a result.

When she first began to have issues I had driven to visit her arriving about 2 AM to her house. I had a key and let myself in and found her sitting on the couch. We chatted for several minutes when she looked at me and asked "who are you".

I say "I am your son" which resulted in a back and forth argument until Mom blurrs out, "Whose your Daddy".

I busted out laughing and she was angry at me. Those 3 words still make me laugh.

Well, that and several other sad but totally hillarious moments.

My MIL...

...was an escape artist from the nursing home. She learned the combination on the keypad and just let herself out and it took a while to find her. She ended up with an ankle bracelet because she also stole a (plastic) knife from the cafeteria to try to cut the bracelet off.
