The IL. supreme court decided last week out staters don't need a firearms owners ID card (FOID) to legally bring a gun to Illinois. Something I didn't realize applied here to fore. A guy from Indiana was stopped in Chicago for a traffic violation. Chicago PD charged him with the gun violation when they found one, and tacked on a "no FOID card" violation. This happened in 2005. He apparently was convicted and has been a felon since. I hope he can get that expunged. Good luck with that from what I hear. You can get into similar trouble if you get caught in Indiana without a carry permit.
