A weekend acquisition...

It's difficult for me to sympathize with your dilemma, Truckman. All I can think of is Lucky Dog. I'm sure, in time, you will sort it all out.:D

Years ago at a Marietta gun show I found a box of police take offs, many with rack numbers painted on the bottom. I was able to salvage many good pairs to be used on guns that needed them. The only down side...no screws. I have corrected that problem but many odd panels remain. Typically, the right panels were pretty well worn but medallions, inserts and escutcheons remain.

I did give a pair to a friend to learn and practice checkering restoration.

And that's the case here, as was expected with the high percentage of right-handed shooters...Except that this one is exceptionally well preserved and unblemished in its septuagenarian years (unlike myself), so now the quest becomes finding someone with a left Coke in similar condition who is willing to either give it up, or work a deal to obtain mine...Somewhere there may even be someone with the reverse pair wondering how to deal with the dilemma......Ben
