A2 front site ?

I have a basic MP 15-22 rifle and I have been using flip up sites on it. Well I like the look of the A2 style front site and I recently unpinned and took off an A2 from a AR15. Question is will it fit on the S&W MP 15-22 Rifle?

No it will not fit. If you want an A2 sight you need to purchase one from TrueShot Technologies. It's machined to size for the 15-22 barrel and clamps on.

TrueShot Technologies product is an awesome solution to putting an A2 front sight on a M&P15-22. It take a whole two minutes to install and another ten minutes to change over the sight post. Great product, I have two. This is the real deal Two Crows, and the gentleman who makes these is a really nice guy. I've known him for several years. Can't go wrong with this sight. You can't go wrong with the True Shot Technologies front sight.
It's a perfect fit. I don't know how they do it.

When I first converted the handguard on mine I used 3/4 brass tubing from the hobby shop and cut a slot about 1/8" out of it. I used this as a shim under the clamp on gas block. it worked well enough, but the True Shot Technologies A2 front sight base is the best way to go and is worth the few days' wait until they are in stock again.
