Thinking about getting an A2 stock to try on my sport. Will the A2 with it's spring and buffer work ok on the carbine?
I can get a Colt complete stock or a DPMS complete. Any problems with this swap ? I had heard the gas pressure was highter on the carbine and am not sure about the A2 spring?
Thanks, Pete

It will work fine, I've used A1 and A2 stocks before with carbine uppers. The rifle buffer is heavier and the rifle spring has more coils, so if anything it will slow the action down. You should notice a different recoil impulse, and possibly a little more sproing on firing.

Dragon is right about the sproing. I just got a JP heavy duty spring for my A2 stock/buffer tube and it has helped quiet that down considerably though. I really like my A2 stock!
