Abbie Update 4/5/09

We lost internet service during the big blizzard that started Friday night. Kind of boring here at the Super 8 with no computer.
Talked to Grandma Gail about two hours ago.
During the past couple of days Abbie has developed a bladder infection due to the catheter that has been installed for over 30 days, she also has a ruptured blood vessel in one eye, not sure of the cause of this one, she is still having problems getting her own heart to function with the Berlin Heart and have started giving her medication to stimulate the heart. But this is one of the meds they suspect causes the bleeding. Consequently they are monitoring her closely.
Right now that is where we stand.
She is still holding her own.

Lord almighty, help this child with her fight. She is fighting so hard. I continue to pray day and night for her. Thanks for the update Thom. Prayers will continue.

Thanks for the update, I was concerned when we hadn't heard from you. Hope all is back to normal from the storm. Abbie is a fighter, she's not going to let this beat her. My wife and I speak of her often, and we will continue to pray for her recovery.
