Abbie's Birthday Update

Abbie went back into surgery today to try to correct some bleeding and correct a malfunction in the Berlin Heart.
She was supposed to go in at 1:30PM EDT, but didn't get in until almost an hour later. As of 7:30PM EDT she is resting comfortably, has some color returning, the heart is functioning correctly and the elevated white count is thought to be a result of stress on her little body and not an infection.
So, the vigil continues.
She is such a remarkable little girl.
Thanks for all of the prayers and thoughts.
As far as a birthday gift from the forum please hold that thought until she is awake and out of isolation.

This kept running through my head when I was thinking of Abbie last night. So, today, I looked up the verses online... it's familiar to all of us, but be sure to look at the last verse:

Hi Thom,
A birthday card was sent today for Abbie. She is one tough little gal. Be sure to tell her how proud of her we are for her being so brave and strong. I will continue the prayers. Hang in there.
