Many years I contacted Iggy through the S&W board to see if he could help me find a place to shoot prairie dogs. He told me he had a small place near Medicine Bow & to come on out & give it a go. Small place was about 47 sections & at the time had lots of dogs! Since then we have always been in touch via text or email almost daily. I tell him about my bicycle rides & he tells me about his struggle with Leukemia! Several years ago he was given 6 months & he has lived more than six years!

Recently he has been in a hospital for 10 days or so & today in our texts he says he will soon be going to hospice as soon as there is an available place.

If you have enjoyed his stories & posts, probably time to put in a good word for him !

Medicine Bow is a beautiful place, we hunted Antelope there a few years ago and had drinks in an old saloon which I think was the Virginian.

I spoke with Iggy about Wyoming. Our group hunted antelope and shot prairie dogs in Bill WY for 12 years and I wish I would have stopped in and visited him.

I put hospice nurses at the top of the medical hierarchy. They posses tender and compassionate hearts.

They are blessings to both the patients and the family.

They were to Ruthie's mom and dad.

I hate all cancer with a passion, but leukemia is right at the top of my list. Took my brother from us in a little over a year. Why does it seem to go after the best of us?
Iggy is one of those. I've never met or spoke to him, but from his posts, he seems to be one of those guys you want to have around. Whether there's work to be done, miscreants to arrest or just beers to drink swapping stories around the fire, he'd be near the top of my list for companions.
Iggy, wishing you the best outcome possible and the least amount of pain and the most amount of comfort.

My best wishes to him...Many years ago my Dad's doctors told Mom that Dad was near the end and she should call her sons to be there...Dad made fools out of the doctors and lived through two of those instances...There's no reason why Iggy can't do the same thing......Ben
