On a brand-new 686 4"!
I've seen mentioned the earlier 686s ( I presume no dash and/or -1) had a stainless steel trigger and hammer, flash chromed, which would not support a trigger job. Later models had case hardened steel hammer and triggers, and the latest ones, the MIM parts.
After shooting it in, should I decide I would benefit from attention to the trigger, will the MIM parts support a trigger job?
That's providing I don't stumble across a pristine 686-3 or 4 just begging me to take it home. Scarce. Hen's teeth, cold day in Texas. Dream on!
