Absent Comrade

My/our dear dear friend Mike Adkins passed peacefully in his sleep last night.

I've got to take a moment with this and sort my thoughts as it sinks in.

I have many things to tell you about Mike but that can wait until a bit later.

Thank you all for your warmth and your hopes that he would pass quietly.

I hate cancer.

It attacks everyone from infants to our elderly and its only goal is to destroy lives and to kill.

It is such an ugly disease.
