I have the sad task of informing you we have lost two members.
We are diminished. May God comfort their friends and families.

Roger Combs, S&W Oldtimer, died June 30th.
Roger was a Life Member of the SWCA and had been a forum member since 2008.

Jim Stark, snake803, died July 29th.
Jim was also a Life Member of the SWCA and had been a forum member since 2001.
I have known Jim for decades.

I hate to hear this. I had spoken to Jim after this years symposium. I was concerned that he wasn't there. He assured me he was fine.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jim in person at a local gun show about 15 years ago. I later purchased a mahogany presentation case for a 3.5” revolver from him. He was a very interesting guy, and if I remember correctly, he enjoyed teaching youngsters to shoot. RIP.

Holy cow, what a small world! Add some dark hair with a widow's peak, take off the beard, and James Stark becomes the Jimmy Stark from my Baltimore childhood. We went to elementary and junior high together, and I think, I may be mistaken, were confirmed in the same church. We went to different high schools which were big time rivals, and I don't think I ever saw him after that.
