Accidental discharge today !

Well,it finally happened.

My SharpShooter 8120 with about 20,000 rds thru it jammed and while trying to clear,OOPS.

My bad.

If you are not familiar with this gun,it holds 80 T50 projectiles.

Luckily no one lost an eye and I got by with minimal blood loss, about 0.01 ml.

Safety First!

Mark
T50's are ok for every day, but in Bear country I would go with at a minimum a 90 series industrial and preferably a series 84 industrial. very least

Accidental discharge? Happend to me and Peggy Calkins out behind my stepdads garage in 1954. Of course it had nothing to do with guns. (well not firearms anyway)

Here in New York State, we're only allowed staplers with 10-round capacity, no bayonet mount, and no folding or telescopic stocks...unless, of course, they are "pre-ban" staplers! :)

The T50 has a heavy hand pull so I can understand getting an errant shot every once in awhile.

Remember to teach your kids safe stapling and put those hand locks on them!

Not funny Mark . I was was concerned you were carrying some new issued weapon that I had never heard of and because nobody was looking out for you , we had supplied you with a lowest bidder lemon . I was almost to call my Senator Larry Craig to help you out . Maybe I still will .

You don't have to call Larry, just give his foot a nudge...

Children and stapler safety

One day long, long ago I was working in the garage. The kids wanted to help but weren't following directions. After 15 minutes of fruitless discussion and requests, Dad took action.

BAM, BAM, ..... , Bam !!! Two T50 staples in each shoelace anchored 2 kids to a 4 foot 2 x 6. They are now safe spectators, instead of troublesome helpers who are going to get hurt. Two minutes later I removed the staples, daughter went for a bike ride, son said he would follow directions. Job took 3 times as long, but Brian was a good helper. Sarah came home and made cookies with Mom.

Almost went into a panic over the weekend. Stopped by 2 of the big box hardware stores and couldn't find staples to fit the Swingline 800 that has served me well for going on 30 years !!! No need to outlaw staplers, just remove the supply of staples. Hmm... sound kinda familiar?
