Hi all,
I'm contemplating IWB carrying a mdl. 10-6. I'm having trouble with picking up the standard front sight quickly and am wondering if anyone has had the barrel milled to accept a pinned night sight of some sort?

Any recommendations or pics I can drool over?

Thanks
John

Hair-brained Idea.... Go ahead and Flame away. :)

I'm not sure how much it would cost to have the sight milled, but a replacement tritium from sight blade would be in the $80 neighborhood for just the front sight.

So, why not buy one of the inexpensive S&W Tritium watches, they sell for around $85 on fleabay, and harvest the tubes. Then drill a hole in the front sight and epoxy a tube in place, you could also put tubes in the rear sight.

Someone makes a tritium insert that fits in a red ramp dovetail, you would have to cut a dovetail in the sight, I'm not sure if there is enough meat on a 10-6 front sight.

Hare brained? I don't think so... harvesting the tritium from a watch is very creative. I wonder how well that would work. Hopefully, someone tries it and reports.

Try a dab of florescent paint in your preferred color. Yellow works for my 72 year old eyes. just an idea. Bob
