...to my accumulation. I have a few Model 1's and they kept whining for me to find them a "big" brother. Found one in pretty good shape for a quite reasonable price and had it delivered to me.
It's a 2nd issue and matches up well with my 3rd issue Model 1. Roy informed me that the 1 1/2 was shipped in August of 1874, so it is 1 year newer than the Model 1 (shipped in August of 1873).
The mechanics all work fine, except the cylinder does not quite make it to the stop when cocking the hammer. Cylinder holes and barrel are a bit rough, but the lands in the barrel are all there. Not a big deal to me as I don't plan on trying to find any .32 RF and shooting it. The rosewood stocks are numbered to the gun and in very good condition.
Now I suppose I will have to watch for a 1st issue 1 1/2 to go with my other Model 1's. Have to keep the family happy...
