Good choice and 22 Magnum is not a bad little round.
I am pro 640 Pro (as I have one and owned one years ago prior and sold in a pinch).
I had an SP101 Wiley Clapp some years back. Solid shooter. I was not impressed with the "basic model" fit and finish. They're hard to find now, and expensive. When I saw Rugers recently (both SP and GP models, I was not impressed). Never seen or fired a Kimber. The thing with the SP is they're heavy little boat anchors. Nice for shooting, heavier than a 640 for carry.
I have also owned a 642 and while it was easy to carry, range time wasn't what I consider to be "enjoyable". However, if you want to save weight and money, they're not terrible by any means. The 442 is pretty much the same, just black. 637 (I think) if you want a hammer model.
The 640 is what I carry. It's got a nice heft to it, easy to fire, and you have the option of 357 or 38 (I say stick with 38s as touching off 357s is also not "enjoyable" in a JFrame, but it's nice to have options).
If you want a hammer model, the 60 Pro is pretty nice as well.
JFrames are just a gun you can always have on you with no excuses, so good choice.
