adjustable sights

do they make rear adjustable sights for a s&w 40 ve? and if not why?

As far as I'm aware they only come with fixed 2 dot rear sights. I've never seen one with any form of adjustable rear sights. The why part of your question is only an educated guess. These pistols were initially designed for law enforcement to compete directly with the Glock. The Glock 22 I was issued in 1994 has fixed 3 dot night sights.

I don't want adjustable sights on a gun that is tucked in my clothes and expected to be accurate to maybe 20 feet.
