Advice on snubbie Concealed Carry for slight build.

I currently own a 637 which I use the "pocket carry" method for because it's so light. I shoot this gun fairly well.
I also take it with my Kayaking.

But I recently came a cross a Colt Detective special 2" which I actually shoot better because it's not as light and also just feels like a much better trigger. Because I shoot this gun more accurately than the 637, I'd like to carry it more often.

I am on the thin side and have trouble concealing (with comfort).
(5ft10, 168lbs).
I'm Considering a IWB with "tuckable" option for summer carry.
I do not want kydex or nylon.

Don't mind spending a little extra to get a comfortable holster, but I don't want to break the bank either.

Looking for advice from those who have similar guns (in weight & size) and are close to my build. Thanks.

I went to the website and it looks very interesting. I never considered a front carry but I might give it a try.

I carry anything from my Ruger LCP, to my 642, to my Glock 27 and even a full sized M&P40 IWB. I prefer appendix carry, roughly 1:00, for comfort and concealment.

I'm 6' 220 lbs, but I'm in shape.. if I may so so myself. No belly fat or love handles. Appendix carry works for me with both t-shirts and button ups. I have various holsters.. for the 642 I use a simple Uncle Mikes that I adjusted a bit to made the gun ride lower.

Mine is a Standard White Left-hand. I ordered it for my Glock 27 but also use it for my S&W Model 60 and 342PD. It is comfortable seated (much more than a IWB on your hip in a car!) and is secure running. It is the only thing I have found that is good concealment without particularly dressing for it.

They will take it back if you don't like it so you aren't out anything.

THIS is what I use, holds the gun very tight and close to the body. Infinitely more comfortable than any IWB holster.

I'm 6'1" at around the same weight.

I have a Detective Special. I just put it in my pocket, same as I did my Model 12-3 snub. I make my own pocket holsters out of Gorilla tape, cardboard (that from boxes of Sponge Bob Cheez Its works well) and #64 postal grade rubber bands. Always work fine for a month or two.

For quite a while, I carried a Model 58 IWB, using an old clip on Smith and Wesson branded suede IWB holster meant for a 4" K frame. Worked great.

Skinny guys have it easy. Just get your pants a bit large and you can carry most anything. I've carried N frames, full size 1911s, and most recently a Sig P229R without problems.

Casehardn, how do you carry when you kayak? I've recently started and haven't figured out a way to keep the revo dry (crimson trace grips) if I flip over. Not sure if a zip lock bag would work.

APS, Sorry, Would have responded sooner but I didn't revisit this post in a while.
I have the bottom corner of my 637 customized for a lanyard ring.
The other end of my lanyard is attached to my pfd when I'm in my kayak. My vest is a Stolquist Fisherman with front pockets (see link).

Since my gun is an airweight and I paddle in fresh water, I'm not worried about taking a dunk. Hope this helps.

Update:
Purchased the "Smart Carry" holster and have had several weeks to try this thing out. Incredibly comfortable. Best feature is you are so confident no one knows you carry due to no chance of anything showing.
Works with any style of pants, slacks, jeans, shorts...no problems.
You DO need 2 hands to draw. But have practiced and have it down to about 1-1/2 seconds. One hand pulls front of pants, while the other grabs the gun.
For $60 (Made in the USA), this thing is a bargain as far as I am concerned.

In addition to the Smartcarry, I am still going to look for an OWB so I can also carry confidently in cold weather while I walk in the woods and use a 1 hand draw. Been looking at the Silver Dollar Pancake from Simply Rugged.
Looks like a nice holster for a good price.
Bottom line is I guess you can never have too many holsters.

True, especially with a j frame sized gun that is easier to hide in spots that larger guns. I've not tried the smartcarry yet but there seem to be a bunch of folks that love them.
