Where is the power adjustment ring?
AO--l think he is saying 2 1/2 power... 28 mm objective...lts a strait power... Not a variable.. Scout scopes are actually long eye relief rifle scopes..Usually mounted out on the barrel rather than up close on the receiver...Like the typical rifle scope....
Yep, you are right.. been looking at those 2.5-8x32's for so long it was just stuck in my head!

Ok, thanks for all the help and suggestions from everybody, I have ordered all the stuff I need/want to do this.
Received 2 pair of the Leupold vertical split rings from Midway.
Ordered this mount..
Warne Warne Silver Scope Base For Smith & Wesson X Frame Md: M500S
And I just found a new Leupold silver 2.5-8x32 scope for less than $500 shipped..
Cant wait to get it all here and put together!!

Having shot my share of Hand Cannons , as long as the mount is
on good and tight your good to go.
The rings are a different matter.
Scope creep can be fixed on a 2 ring system, but the real problem
is scope bending under recoil.
3 and even 4 rings are needed to support the scope tube
If not the scope ends bend down under recoil breaking what is inside.
A 500 kicks , so put as many rings on it as you can.

Yes, agreed. I bought 2 sets of the Leupold vertical split rings, and my plan is to get as many of them on there as I can. Till I get all the parts in hand I won't know what t will fit..scope length, mount length, stuff like that. Hope it all comes in this week so I can play.
