These look nice. I especially like that Model 36.

Thanks for the link, ladder 13. That model 10 even seems to have a LERK (Large Ejector Rod Knob).

It'll be interesting to see if all the folks who said they'd buy a new S&W if it didn't have the lock actually do.

You can bet that my wallet is coming out at light speed! I hope they revert back to the old pre-lock frame shape eventually, but I'm definitely snapping up a no-lock 10 and 19 as soon as I can get my paws on them. I like the classic touches done to the Model 10 and 36 - half moon front sights, tapered barrels, ejector rod ends, etc.

Lock Down

I for one will not get excited until I
see a News Release stating that
there will be NO more Internal Safety
Storage Lock on any S&W Revolver.

I would also expect that the Manufacturer
Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) should
decrease a little because of less parts
needed.

And like I said before the next phase
of collecting S&W Revolvers will be
with the Lock.

I turned 21 in the year 2000 and unfortunately was of legal age to purchase a handgun right at the time S&W introduced the lock. Have always loved revolvers and so over the years most of my collection was in buying pre-lock ones. I wish these had come out many years ago as I already own these pre-lock models in different barrel lengths. Hopefully they phase them out of all the revolvers in their current lineup.
