Age of a 31 No Dash

Can someone please check the age of a Model 31 no dash, SN 681409? Thanks in advance.

The book shows a wide range of serial numbers,
1946-1960 sn's 536685-712953. I would guess
toward the1960.

Hmm, thanks for that. I thought the number alone would give a more precise date, so I did not mention that this is a 3-screw gun. Based on something I saw elsewhere, I gather this would make it a 1962 or later gun. But that doesn't seem consistent with a higher serial number being made in 1960.

What I'm really trying to determine is whether this gun was made in 1965 or before, so that it would qualify as a C&R I could buy directly. Are the published serial number lists just not precise enough to do that?

The model 31 was made from 1957 to '61, so I think you are safe on the 50 year rule.
