Ah, that's better!

I love them short ones on the 3"....but I know I'd have to have the dreaded rubber Hogues to be able to shoot it much.

Rolan, and XTrooper, I have 2 a 629 in 3 inch and the 357 Mag in 3inch, is there a Model 57 in 3inch still (maybe nickel) . I saw Troopers collection on the 2 5/8, in 357, 41 Mag, and 44 Mag? Unfluted cylander and one heck of a trio. Been looking for a 41 in 3inch dont know if there out there, or go Troopers way and get the 657...that one is a smokin rig! Rolan n Trooper I know you two from Sig and Top Gun, Any info would help. Thanks a ton, and btw XTrooper Im right here near Troop #1 in Delaware.

drumcorps,

There is a 2.5" black finished SS cylinder/scandium alloy framed model 357 Night Guard, SKU #163428 $1,185 MSRP in .41 Magnum. At <30 oz, bet it would smart!

Stainz

There are 3" bbl 657's that were a special run for Lew Horton in the '80's running around. I see a couple on GB now... a bet pricey though.

Except for the need to handload your own ammo to keep from paying almost $60 a box for factory loaded .41 Mag, I really like mine. Felt recoil isn't "too bad" with the factory combat grip, but you still know you have a tiger by the tail.

Thanks guys, my 686-6 in 3 inch is great, I put a pair of Hogue Rosewood monogrip....the girl went in the back shop, placed me on hold and really couldn't be more happy. They look like furniture . My 629 44mag was a Talo so it already came with the laser etched grips.
Im really undecided on the 41 or 41 mag or special....and the model numbers. At 50 yrs old Smith and Wesson has made sooo many models and I got a late start collecting. Thus the many question.
You gents REALLY know your stuff !!!!! Tip of the hat to all the great info.
