Ahrends Boot Grips

I'm considering getting some Ahrends Boot Grips without the finger grooves for my 3" 65, like this:

Does anyone have any experience with them?

I'm primarily interested in how they feel in the hand and how they handle recoil. While my interest is in the non-groove grip, I'd also like to hear from the owners of finger groove grips. Any input on the difference between the standard finish and the tung oil finish would also be appreciated.

I understand that everyone's hands are different, but I'd still like to hear some thoughts on the matter.

Boot Grips

I have these on my 2" 10-5. Square butt finger grooves in Cocobolo with the regular poly finish.

I really like them and find they fit my medium sized hands just right for me. My pinky finger wraps right under the bottom and I feel that I have a very secure hold.

As for regular finish versus oil, I have a pair of retro-combats in oil finish, and I feel like the oil gives a better purchase for my hands and I think they are more pleasing to the eye. That being said, all my other grips are regular poly finsh and I like them all very much!

I think you will want the finger grooves myself.

+1 on Bullseye's point. I like the boot grips on 2.5 inch, but on my 3 inch I have extended boot (Spegel) or full size Ahrends.
