Decided to switch from CT Lasergrips to these Ahrends Tactical for model 65. I purchased from "Gripseller" off Ebay. The price is the same as purchasing from Ahrends except: 1. delivery time was three days, not ten weeks, 2. 30 day refund policy, 3. the grips pictured on Ebay are actual grips being sold and not just representative of the style of grips.

I have six pairs of the Tactical finger groove grips, all purchased from Terri. She is a first-rate seller!

I really like their grips. I'm sure there are more expensive ones that are better but these work for me. Didn't like the Altamonts as much.

+1 for gripseller, these are both from their eBay store.

I have Ahrends on several Smiths, good looking and very functional

Ahrends also has the distinction of actually having produced grips/stocks for S&W factory delivered firearms. My Mountain Gun came new in the box with them.

Terri sold me a couple of pairs of Ahrend grips for my 66 and 686. Sad thing is, they're too beautiful for EDC ;)

Gripseller

I've been purchasing Ahrends grips from Terri for years. She's never messed up an order and is a great person to deal with.

I see hkcavalier that you like Cordia too.

From looking at the Ahrends site pics of the various woods there are 5 woods that I really liked. I probably would not have selected Cordia as the "finalist". But the Ebay pics of these particular stock I found outstanding. The benefit of buying from Terri is you are looking at the pics of the actual grips being sold. I suppose I need to buy a number of Ahrends grips made from various wood and change the grips as often as I change underwear-well at least once a week whether I need to or not:D

Just a quick clarification. Ahrends did not stop using Cocobolo by choice. It was put on the CITES endangered species list in August of 2013. Per an agreement between many countries, it can no longer be harvested or imported.

I got my dark brown Curly Maple Retro Finger groove Tactical grips from GripSeller very quickly; much quicker than expected! It was nice to be able to see the actual set of grips to see the figure, coloring, etc. I just need some time to get pics of it!
