Ahrends Retro Combats on a Mountain Gun

I have a set of retro combats on the way for my HP. This thread is very reassuring that they will not only lok great, but feel great also.

I have the retro combats on my 22-4. They are stained maple with a red tinge to them.

I have some on order for a pair of K frames.

I have a 629 Mountain gun and love the round to square retro cocabolos but there is something missing....
Has anyone ever put a set of factory medallions in a pair?
If so would love to see some pics.

I have 3 pairs of Ahrend's grips and I love them all. Fit is virtually perfect considering that no 2 guns are alike.

Rodentman, which woods are the last two you posted?

I'm thinking of replacing the cocobolo tactical finger groove grips on my 586 with a set of retro combats, and have not decided on a wood yet.
