I'm sorry but I just don't get it. Watched a lot of videos on YouTube for various air fryers on the market. Some are easy clean. Some have more features than others. If you find yourself asking the question "Do I need it or just want it?" then you don't need it.

Most of them have a basket which limits the quantity of food you can put in them. And you have to rotate the food halfway through. Frankly I don't need another appliance and while I'm almost seventy years old I don't have an issue requiring me to cut back on fried foods. I don't dehydrate food. I'm single so I don't see a need to be able to air fry a big batch of fries or onion rings.

What I do cook is coated with a little Pam spray, flour and grated parmesan cheese which gives it a little crust in the oven. Even with the heat outside the infrequent use of the oven doesn't necessitate buying another appliance. I'm also betting that my oven will outlast any of those "wonder appliances" found on TV.

Money is better spent on a firearm you don't need. :D

Each to his own. You maybe should look at the thread back around the 10th of July on air fryers.

I'm a darned good cook (if I do say so myself) but the air fryer takes BBQ'd chicken to a whole new level.

Last evening I bought one of Publix's premade meat loafs that normally I cook in the oven but I made it in the air fryer and it was the best, bar none, best meat loaf I have ever tasted.

I made a whole roasted chicken tonight. It was good, but not any better than one made in the oven. Quite moist and juicy, but I can do that anytime.

So, for some things it is, IMO, truly exceptional, for others, just okay.

We have an air fryer in our house. I have pre-teen to high school age kids, and it is a very good tool they can use to prepare food for themselves. This one is a high-grade one with lots of accessories like a rotisserie basket, and is pretty easy to use. I'm glad we have it.

I was also a skeptic but my wife insisted we get one and I changed my mind. We got one that looks like a toaster-oven and not the kind that resembles a bloated coffee maker, and now it's the most-used countertop appliance we have. If it's not for you then it's not for you. We don't appliance-shame here! :D

Needed a new stove and got one with an air fryer. My wife will not fry foods. I convinced her that the air fryer was healthy and now I get fried chicken, french fries, etc. Not quite as good as the deep fried foods but a still pretty good.

Well I'm the odd one out I guess. We got one for Christmas and have used it several times. To me the food has a funny taste and I've tried several recipes. Now it just sits there taking up space.
