Has anyone tried one of those air frying ovens? Are they as good as advertised? Supposedly same flavor and less than half the calories? Any brands or features that I should look for? Thank you!

I've eat fries from one, remember having to wait awhile GB or them and batches were small so our group all eat at different times. But they tasted ok.

WE use our 2 or 3 times a week. Do a lot of chicken in it as well as sausages, steak and about any other sort of meat. The wife had a few problems with it at first so I got her an Air Fry cook book. All is well now.

We just took a trip to Texas with our travel trailer. 4800 miles round trip. I could pull into a camp ground, plug into the electric and during the 20 minutes it took to get the trailer set for the night the wife would have dinner ready.

Yeah, its called a convection oven. Frying requires oil.

We use ours for things I never thought I would and generally the outcome is fair to pretty darn good. It fun to experiment. But like my gramps used to say; "It's a tool, not a crutch"!

Love our "Air Fryer"!
So good that I have not used our BBQ and charcoal briquettes.
The steaks are cooked perfectly for me.
