Why are all the rest contrys useing aks an we use the m 16 or m15 do they know some thing we dont , like they keep working when we keep cleaning an they aks are cheapefr to make ?? Yea i own a few of the aks an they take a beating over the m 16 sand an dirt no porlbms just flush it out an keep fireing them one dam good firearm

Because they're poor and AKs, and clones there of, are cheaper. They also lend themselves somewhat better to equipping (if one can call it that) an illiterate child soldier or press ganged conscript.

Same reason that some countries still use T54s or even T34s and don't have Abrams or F22s.

We're not even going to be having any more F-22s. Yes they are very pricey, and are being replaced with the very capable F-35.... but MAN F-22s are just awesome!

I got to sit in one once .. I watched one at an air show at Davis Monthan AFB.... all I can say is that plane defies laws of physics.

I was in charge of a couple of hundred AMD-65s while working as a police advisor in Afghanistan. This was the folding stock Hungarian verson of the AK-47. While I don't care much for .223s, the M-4, M16s, etc, are much better built weapons than the AMD-65s.

BUT, the AKs are cheap, easy to tear down, and do go bang. That is important when arming illiterate soldiers and cops.

Yup, they sure are one damn good firearm. Mr. Kalashnikov got it right over sixty years ago. Like Muley Gil said, cheap to produce and they work.
