Ak47

Let's start off with knowing how much money is going to this project.

Or better yet, just get a Zastava Z-PAP M70 clone with wood furniture and he can pretend that that is what he wants. That's going to be most cost effective way to go and still get a very good quality AK without spending a boat load of money on a pre-ban collectable.

Let's be real,ANY AK he gets, he's going to have to pretend that one he has is "one that may have been used against him", whatever that means.

Nice example of what appears to be a Norinco 56S. Possibly a Sile import? Fantastic AKs

It's a 56-1, would have to look to see the markings for who imported the things.

While I picked up the collecting bug from my Dad and know what I know for what I buy I'm not an expert on AK's, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 56S was the version that came with the spike bayonet and not the knife and sheath.

I have posted these pictures several times. This is my son in the middle of captured arms after the Iraq war. It's
a shame that bring backs have been suspended. He said AKs for everyone.

There has been a recent release of US Military ak’s that hit the market. Search US MILITARY TRADE-IN AK. Thoroughbred armament and Aim surplus had some.

I believe you may be mistaking the 56S for the AKS. I don’t recall ever seeing a 56S with a folding bayo but all of the Polytech AKS examples I’ve ever seen do have them.

Poly-Tec and Norinco

I dug mine out of the safe the MAK 90is Norinco and the AKS is Poly-tec. I remember Norinco adding the stock without the pistol grip and removing the bayonet and lug to make it "legal to be imported.
