I recently acquired 2 Shield M2.0's: 9mm and 40. Both have the factory laser.
I ordered an IWB and OWB holster for them from Alien Gear Holsters. The IWB fits the guns very nicely.
But, I am having a problem with the OWB holster. The Alien Gear OWB holster has a rubber membrane backing which has a raised area that aligns with the trigger area. Makes sense since the trigger area is narrower than the frame. The Alien Gear holster has a Kydex shell which is well-formed for the Shield M2.0 with factory laser. But, the raised area of the membrane overlaps with the laser. Looking a pictures of the add-on lasers by Crimson Trace and Lasermax, those lasers are not as wide as the factory laser. I'm sure the add-on lasers have no problem with the raised portion of the membrane backing. But, the wider factory laser rests on the raised portion. The result is that the gun is canted at an angle in the holster and it rocks back and forth.
The Alien Gear folks have been great and are working with me, but at this point I don't know if the problem will be resolved. So, I may need to look for an alternate OWB holster.
Does anyone on the forum have a Shield M2.0 with factory laser in an OWB Kydex holster?
