I think I'm done at least until I find the next must have.
Magpul furniture, Rainier Arms Hard Chrome BCG, PRI combat latch, Blackhawk sling plate, Midwest Industries gas block, Midwest Industries flip up sights, NcStar 2x7 quick release scope (I know it's a cheap scope but I haven't found one I like better), Spike Tactical ST-T2 buffer and a blue Sprinco spring

You're not done yet. You need a Magpul Scout Mount & a light. ;)

Just joking. Everything looks great! I see the Magpul rail section on the bottom of the hand guard. Is that for a bi-pod?

I have a bipod and a light that I can mount there

I lied I picked up the Vortex Strikefire this morning I was at Gander Mountain and it was calling for me. (I hate it when that happens)

How difficult is it to replace the gas block? Ideally I'd like to replace the stock A2 sight and add a front flip site, but if I have to take it to a gunsmith, I don't think I'll bother.

If you have the right punches its really simple as long as you don't drive them the wrong way. A good set of punches is about $10 and to have your local GS remove it is about $20 it only takes a few min.

Knew it! :D

I completely understand. I perused the Cabela's gun counter today. I was completely happy with my handgun collection, then I held a Sig SP2022. It's on sale for $399. It's calling me.

Just like a NP3-ed complete AR bolt carrier group is calling...

Thanks for the reply. After reading up about it, seems like it could be a pain in the arse...if it's that cheap to have a gunsmith do it, I may just go that route.

Go to your local small GS if you go to the big box sporting good store it will be 3 times as much. I've got a guy 1/2 mile from me that handles my transfers and bails me out if I get stuck on an upgrade

I figured out today, that I am not done upgrading. I am either going to have to get another sport, or build one. Now I have the bug up my arse as I saw it put, to have an upper with a 24" Bull barrel. Or put one on my Sport, but I would just as soon have another one set up that way. I have quite the collection of firearms and in my head is spinning ok if I sell this one I can buy this and this....Yep the Black rifle is a Black hole money pit LOL (but what a joy it is)

The EBR disease really kicks in when you build one.

Buying a complete AR = Stage 1 EBR disease.

Assembling a lower & mating to a complete upper = Stage 2 EBR disease.

Assembling the whole darn thing from a box of parts = Stage 3 EBR disease.

I'm at Stage 2. I might progress to Stage 3 this summer. :D

I hope they never find a cure:)

My Cousin is getting out of the Corps in the next couple of months and he is an armorer. He says he can assemble one in under 30 minutes. I think I will get his help to teach me, spend a little more time than 30 minutes, I want it RIGHT and skip Stage 2 (I hope) But you are so right my friend and I now have the disease badly. I bet there is not a cure until you just totally run out of money and the withdrawals have got to be killer....LOL
