All 3 of these guns have seen service but are not abused in any way. all have the original finish/correct barrels/grips/parts. all show some holster wear on the high edges and grip safety etc. normal wear for a WWII issued firearm.
1.(SOLD) Colt, SN 8901XX. Colt didn't get the memo when Ithaca was issued it's first block of SNs so they continued where they had left off their last contract which resulted in app 130,000 pistols in the Ithaca number block. in all my years of collecting these things I have only "heard" of one matched pair. $1500.00
2.(SOLD) Ithaca, SN 8700XX, first contract. a very early one which shows machine marks on the slide. note the correct early Keyes grips without the reinforcing rings around the screws. Ithaca didn't want to build these and it showed in their first run of 400 which were all rejected by the Ordanance Dept due to lack of interchangeability of parts. this early one may have some Colt parts as they ended up supplying Ithaca with lots of small parts to help them get started. $1,300.00
3. (SOLD)Remington Rand, SN 9287XX. very clean early gun that also has the early Keyes grips without the reinforcing rings. Remington Rand made almost as many pistols as the other three makers put together and were considered by many to be the best made and were also the least expensive. $1500.00
must ship to FFL or C&R who will accept from an individual. all prices include shipping to lower 48. thanks for looking. lee
