So I walked in a gun shop asking for an ankle holster for my 442 and walked out with the Allen spandex ankle holster. I can’t imagine a more comfortable and less conspicuous holster. I love it.

Please shoot me down and tell my why it’s terrible. I need to learn. Thanks. lol

Probably as good as an ankle holster gets. But ankle holsters are so slow to get to, I don't wear them.

I carry a 442 in an ankle holster almost everyday...yes it's slow to get to but not terrible with practice.

It allows me to always carry and having one on my ankle is way better than the guns at home in my safe!!

Well, I never found them comfortable and I always found them to be very slow or even difficult to reach the weapon. YMMV.

In a car it's more handy than when you are walking upright.

I don't know of that brand but ankle carry works great for me too.

Galco is what carries my Ruger LCR, along with the calf strap/garter.

Lou Alessi's ankle rigs are the first and best. Lou's passed away, but an exployee has opened a shop and continues the magic.

When practiced ankle holsters can be pretty quick. I can beat people with inside the waist band holsters 8 out of 10 times in first shot on target drawing from an Alessi ankle holster. It is about technique. Most people don’t practice from an ankle rig and I can tell you after 5-6 thousand draws it can be done pretty well. When compared to a belt holster UNDER full concealment - a shirt jacket etc. when you know what you are doing an ankle holster can be fast.
Keep in mind in modern society we spend a lot of time seated. With proper practice ( that is the key) from seated ankle carry is one of the best options

Shorts n speed. That's all that's wrong with an ankle holster. I like mine.

I have used a Bianchi Triad ankle holster for my 637 for many years. great retention and great concealability. While not for the guy that likes to wear skinny jeans, with practice, I can draw fairly quickly. Especially nice when one is going to be sitting down as compared to OWB and IWBs.
