Alliant 2400 with .40SW

Anyone tried this and have any successful recipes? I have 1lb of this stuff and was wondering if it was a good idea to give it a try. I will be using either 165 or 180 FMJ bullets.

I've never tried 2400 in my 40S&W loads & can't image it would work well. I did try it (because I already have it for my 44/45Colt/454) in some 185 JHP 45 Super loads & wasn't happy at all with it. I'd suggest using Power Pistol instead. It's awesome in my 9mm, 40S&W, & 45 Super loads. It meters & packs well, burns clean & gives outstanding performace (& muzzle blast) in full loads. Save the 2400 for large case/magnum revolver loads where it shines.

Not a good match, pretty much a magnum revolver powder. Check your loading manual.
