Allman Brothers Live

I liked Ramblin Man better. Both Ramblin Man and In Memory of
Elizabeth Reed written by Dickie Betts.

I saw Greg Allman at the Portland Waterfront Blues Festival a few years ago. He was the headliner and good as I expected.

I wish I could have seen Duane!

Was in Macon to today - hamburger joint on downtown that names their burgers after Almon brothers members.....

I was a fishing guide out of Moore Haven marina on Lake Okeechobee during mid 80s & 90s. Got to be good friends with Billy Earl Chapman and he was buds with Gary Stewart and Dickie Betts. Bass Hole Lounge in Lakeport was home to some world class jams.

I'm 50% sure I was there although neither program is for that particular show. I'm sure the stub is in the pile. I remember growing up in the 60's and bam, suddenlyI was in Florida in the 80's. Lots of "bits and fragments" in between. Joe

I missed that one but I saw the James Gang, Humble Pie and Grand Funk Railroad there.

I bet those were killer shows. I loved the Grand Funk Live Album, actually wore it out and had to get another copy.

I saw the James Gang when they opened for "the real" Lynyrd Skynyrd Dec 26, 1976. I still have my ticket stub.

Only time I ever bought a Harley shirt was in Macon Ga.

For multitudes of years I thought that was where they got their start. Was only a few years ago I found out it was just up the road from me in Jax.

Allman Bro's, Skynyrd, and Molly Hatchet all started out in Jax.

First time I saw Molly Hatchet was at Bogarts in Clifton. Then I saw them at Legend Valley with the Outlaws, and the Allman Bro's.

And .38 Special, too!

Derek Trucks used to live down south of Jax, might still.

Kevin, 1970, Black Sabbath, Cincinnati Gardens, festival seating, inadequate exhaust fans.

I'd never seen so many Zippos.

I saw them there too, but I think it was around 1972.

We were sitting on the floor about 30 foot from the stage. You'd light up and pass to your left, and there would be another one handed to you from your right. It was endless.

First concert I ever went to was CCR July 12, 1971. I was 14 years old. Bo Diddley, and Tower of Power opened. I still have a poster from that one.

Saw too many concerts there. Alice Cooper was a great one.
