Almost a new owner (Not Any More ;o) )

I dropped by one of my local gun shops the week before last and checked out a 15-22. They has around ten in stock. At that time the shelves looked like this . . . .

I decided to wait until after the Christmas bills were all paid off, next month, but after the media hype of this past week I changed my mind and went back and get one. Nope. the shelves were bare and there was no stock.

I almost gave up, but the owner told me that a shipment of five 15-22s was going to come in after Christmas. I claimed one and am now hoping the shipment doesn't get "diverted".

I'm planning on going simple so that I can work on my open sight skills . . . .

I have a Hi-Point 995TS with a circledot sight on it right now, so I want to try the 15-22 without one for now. If it doesn't work out with my aging eyes, I'll get another circledot for the 15-22 as well.

My local shops were like that as well. They were selling one every 20 minutes or so since the shooting.

My LGS had hundreds of rifles in a week and a half ago. They were already selling like hotcakes, but since the shooting, they have had 10-15 back ground checks going on at once... nonstop!

Luckily I got mine (the last 15-22 at my LGS)

Went back for seconds....I wanted the RealTree Camo to go along with my MOE, which I bought about a month ago.

Went to my LGS this past Saturday, and just happen to get the last one on the shelf.... man-o-man, like hotcakes, the LGS was selling anything that had an AR resemblance.

22 ammo is getting a bit scarce too.

Same here. Glad I got mine quite awhile back. They are selling like hotcakes,IF you can find any. My LGS has back orders coming out his ears,a waiting list a mile long and can't keep up.

Well, I just got the call, it's in and waiting for me. Unfortunately, my son gave me the flu for Christmas, so I will have to wait a little while before I can go and pick it up. Hopefully I will be feeling better by Saturday.

Was at my LGS and range to do some shooting Wednesday. They had less then 1/3 of what they had 3 weeks ago when I was there. They said they had no ideal when more stock would be in.

No More Almost!!!

I dropped in this afternoon and picked it up. Added a pair of rail ladders for the sides of the foregrip and an AFG. Ordered a UTG Carry Handle sight and a picatinny sling swivel. Field stripped it when I got home and cleaned and lubed it, ready for when I can get to the range.

I also just finished ordering a pair of mags directly from Smith & Wesson at normal price. They took my order and made no mention of in or out of stock, so we'll wait and see.
