Because of its availability when I was looking, I went to Green Dot for my medium handgun loads. Faster than Unique, slower than Red Dot or Bullseye. Load data is a bit hard to come by but it is out there.
Alternative to Alliant Unique?

You obviously have never shoot 800X in handgun charges. The surplus 107 looked and measured like square hockey pucks. Unique flows like water in comparison.
Shooters are a good bunch!
I've been buying UNIQUE as I can find it, and have also picked up AA#5, HP 38, which is more available than others, and a twin of 231 and a pound of BE 86. I have finally located data for BE 86, which is the most expen$ive of the lot.
One day, I had expressed my disappointment at the lack of powder availability locally, and a fellow replied, saying he was reducing his supply, and he would GIVE me a pound of AA#5 if I would drive the 30 miles one way to meet. Arrangements were made, we met, shook hands and he handed me a heavy bag. I looked, and there was the AA#5, and a pound of UNIQUE! I offered to pay him, which he declined, then I asked If I could fill his Harley's tank, which he said was full. I thanked him, and we parted company. The shooting community has some marvelous people in it, and I'm glad to be part of it!
