I have a Model 29 and I would like to get some Bill Jordan Trooper stocks. Herretts is no longer making them. Does anyone know of someone making this style of stocks? TIA.

Daveintn, carelesslove, here !

If you have "oversized mitts" like me, nothing really works for stiff recoil, like the Jordan Troopers.

I suffered with the recoil from my first 500, until a member of the Forum advertised a pair of "K Round, Jordan Troopers" and I bought them - quickly !

They tamed the recoil - although I have to admit that I load down the 500 ! Again, I have really big hands and the covered backstop and squared-off butt makes them perfect for me.

Many years ago, I "invested" in a pair of early Kurac's, for an old M29-2 and these were a little "strange" - John called them his "Magnum pattern". I haven't seen any quite like these - they are larger, longer in the butt, and have somewhat exaggerated palm swells and are more "shapely" than his regular "Cokes". If you can get them to make you a pair of these, you might like them - even though the backstop is not covered.

Again, I hope you find what you are looking for.

When I clicked on the Jordan's on the Herrett's page, they wouldn't pop up.

In the 80s when I was a struggling young man, like most of you I read all the gun magazines I could get my hands on. Bill Jordan was one of my favorites.
Pachmyer made at the time a plastic reproduction of the Jordan grip, for not a lot of money. I had a pair and really liked them. But the plastic cracked beneath the trigger guard. And Pachmyer no longer made them.

They're still my favorite grip. Maybe Herrett will make some more.
