Am I alone here?

The first 22 rifle I fired was my grandpa old single shot 22short with a thumb trigger. I was about 7 or 8 years old. that old gun was about as long as yard stick. I have 2 22 lr semi autos and a Henry golden boy oh yea a AR15-22. I guess I should shot them more then I do. My grand kids sure like them. My gramps use thaat 22 short to dispacth the steer or hog when it was time to fill the freezer.

Have always had a few .22 around.

I am guilty of buy all my grandchildren (7) their first .22 rifle and looking forward to buying the great grandkids their first .22.

I shoot a .22 at least three times a week.

Gotta EM1-.22 Erma Werek ,have had it 32 years and it is a shooter from the git go.And just as much fun to shoot know as it was then.Used when I bought it and still a tack driver.

I think most of us here grew up shooting a .22 first.
Or maybe a .410 or .20 Ga. shotgun. And when we
we're little we had loads of fun but always looked forward
to moving up the ladder, so to speak to bigger and more
powerful guns. Then as we get older we find the little .22's
draw us back in with their ability to actually have fun shooting
them while being inexpensive to boot. Kind of going full
circle as you will. I do not feel the need to touch off a .375
or a .416 to feel what it's like anymore. Been there, done that...
I have as many guns now in .22 caliber than i ever had and
love shooting them. Simple as that.

Yep,,,Got my start with an old Winchester .22 rifle. That thing went everywhere with me! Of course that was back in the day a rifle in your car on school grounds was not criminal. Back then it was a .22 and a 12 gauge for after school hunting and plinking activities.
Overtime my collection as grown and I have shot and hunted with various calibres, but most recently I took out a Browning Buckmark I had purchased sometime ago, what a great day at the range! ;) It bought back a lot of memories. I need to get that old .22 Winchester out again! After all these years I still have it!

I grew up shooting the .22 also....love it. I shoot my M&P.22 as often as I can.....it's a blast to shoot. I also have, and shoot often, my .17HMR. It's a necked down .22 basically. Love to shoot that gun also.
